Passenger train Extra 326 East stopped at Lake Forest station with engineer Edward "Bud" Buker one day after celebrating his 101st birthday. DRRY Engine No. 326 is the second steam locomotive constructed by Bud and the Buker Locomotive Works having been completed in 1960. The locomotive is patterned after a New York Central Railroad class J1a Hudson locomotive from circa 1927 that once pulled the NYC crack passenger train Twentieth Century Limited. |
